Maria Falsone

Maria is a coach whose work involves unlocking the ability of creative minds in business environments, including with CEOs and senior executives, as well as sole traders and entrepreneur-founders.

Maria has worked with clients in ‘typical’ creative sectors such as film and publishing, but also with ‘hidden’ creatives working in IT, medicine and the third sector. The problem is often the same – a need to sharpen an individual’s focus amidst the distractions and misalignments of complex organisations. Prior to becoming a coach and organizational psychologist, Maria spent six years in finance, performing a variety of roles with the Royal Bank of Scotland before assisting the COO at First State Investments with Projects, Operations, IT and Learning and Development. Maria’s side-hustle was performing as a pianist throughout.

Maria holds an M.A. (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London. Maria is also founding chair of a charity ‘Agrigentomusic’ employing ‘guerilla’ tactics to reinvent music as social action.

Edinburgh is home for Maria, although her roots are Sicilian. Maria finds her thrills in the process of intensity so offer stretto coffee, headache red with some 90s hip hop and a dash of Beethoven and she’ll be there. Not forgetting the hot fiction and rhythm cycle for recovery. Maria’s compulsions include holding the big picture space while getting up close with your intricacies so that you can play with uncharted vision where it matters the most to you.
