Cara is Managing Partner for Dive In Labs where she focuses on investment into early stage startups with diverse founders. She is highly passionate about elevating diversity within the VC and startup ecosystem.

Cara’s career has spanned the startup lifecycle – from launching her own business to driving growth at leading high-growth ventures like Uber and NetSuite. Following the first half of her career as an operator, Cara moved into early-stage investment within the venture capital industry. Most recently, Cara was a Managing Partner and member of the executive team at Sweater Ventures, where she led capital deployment and investment strategy. Prior to Sweater, she was an investor at Chicago Ventures and Selwyn Ventures, focused on early-stage technology investments.

Cara holds a BA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

She is based in Denver, Colorado, where she enjoys spending time with her family, live music at Red Rocks, and downhill skiing in Steamboat.
