Jim coaches CEOs, founders, and private equity executives seeking to unleash the full potential of both themselves and their teams

Jim is an experienced operator and coach with a wealth of experience in building world-class teams and private equity portfolio company management. He serves as an advisor to a number of CEOs and private equity firms, and also serves on the Board of Forever Cheese and TOPS Office Products. Jim was the CEO of Roland Foods, the leading importer and supplier of branded specialty foods to foodservice distributors, multi-unit operators, and retailers. He is also the former COO of The Chefs’ Warehouse, where he helped lead the company through private equity investment, multiple acquisitions, and a successful IPO. As both an operator and an advisor, Jim has led 15+ acquisitions globally. He has an extensive background in M&A, corporate strategy, and operations.

Jim is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he was an All-American athlete and four-time NCAA National Champion. He is currently a member of the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee.

Jim lives in New Canaan, Connecticut. When not cheering on his three daughters, he can be found in the kitchen creating his next great meal or watching European soccer. He firmly believes “If you run the system, the goals will come,” and is compulsive about finding the most successful systems in his coaching and life.
