John Vermeesch


John coaches executive leaders to help them create clarity. His passion is helping them to make the workplace and the world better.

John combines entrepreneurial and corporate experience with 28 years of leading Army organizations to drive operational success by developing and coaching leaders, and creating high performing teams. Since retiring from the Army as a Colonel, John has served in leadership roles in the biotech and manufacturing industries and has run his own leadership and organizational development consulting firm. In the Army, he served as an infantry officer, leading and training soldiers in the US and abroad and has led soldiers in combat three times. He was also privileged to lead an Army-wide center of excellence focused on character and leadership development for the Army’s 1.2M people.

John holds a Masters in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, an M.S. in Education and Leadership Development from Long Island University, and a B.S. in International Relations from the US Military Academy at West Point.

A Michigan native, John and his wife currently live in northern Indiana. He is exceptionally proud of their four adult sons. He is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman, and his compulsion is helping people and teams learn and grow in order to win the right way, every day.
